How to Apply

To be considered for a Paul Nelson Randolph Abundant Life Scholarship Foundation scholarship, applicants must be from an underrepresented population and aligned to one of our participating organizations (Notre Dame Academy - Toledo, Ohio; St. Joseph Academy - Cleveland, Ohio; and City of Life Church - St. Louis, Missouri.

Applicants must request an application by clicking on the button below, beginning December 1, 2024.

All applications must be completed via online submission by January 31, 2025

Key Application Criteria

Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, OH), and Saint Joseph Academy (Cleveland, OH) Seniors graduating in the Spring after application may apply if they have a minimum GPA of 2.7 AND:

  • Proof of good standing at the school as evidenced by a recommendation letter from a principal, teacher, high school guidance counselor, or college guidance counselor;

  • A second letter of recommendation from a non-family member or non-peer is needed (i.e. coach, employer, community leader, etc.); and

  • Plans to attend a two- or four-year college or technical school immediately after high school graduation.

Members of The City of Life Christian Church (TCOLCC)

Church members must be in good standing and demonstrate proof of active church involvement as evidenced by a recommendation letter from the Pastor. In addition:

  • Graduating high school applicants and those who are currently attending a college, university, or trade school may apply if they have a minimum GPA of 2.7 AND:

  • Proof of good standing at their school as evidenced by a second recommendation letter from a principal, teacher, high school guidance counselor, or college guidance counselor/Dean of Admissions; and

  • Plans to attend a two- or four-year college or technical school immediately after high school graduation.

Adult Learners (TCOLCC) - Adult learners are defined as individuals 19 years and older who HAVE NOT had continuous education from high school to a traditional 4-year university, 2-year community college and/or trade/vocational school. Adult learners and returning students may apply if they have

  • A high school diploma or GED;

  • Plans to attend a two- or four-year college, technical school, trade school (with certification) or graduate program, as evidenced by a letter from the admitting institution; and

  • A transcript from your educational institution (for continuing students) or letter of acceptance will also be required for non-continuing students.
