In 2022, the Paul Nelson Randolph Abundant Life Scholarship Foundation tested a simple premise: would inviting our most devoted supporters to a workout-based challenge resonate with folks across the country? Could we create community and camaraderie virtually? Would people open their hearts to a little friendly competition while opening their wallets to fundraise for our foundation?
The answer was a resounding YES!
Thanks to friends and family like you, we have successfully raised nearly $20,000 over the last two summers. Move-A-Thon donations have directly translated to students (and/or adult learners) from Notre Dame Academy (Toledo, Ohio), St. Joseph Academy (Cleveland, Ohio), and the City of Life Church (St. Louis, Missouri), allowing them an opportunity to chase their educational dreams with scholarship support from our organization. This year, we are setting a bold and audacious goal: to achieve $10,000 in Move-A-Thon donations. We've been so close every year, but the third time's a charm!

Here's how you can help us not only meet – but beat – our fundraising goal:
Head over to Eventbrite and register for Paul's Move-A-Thon: Volume III. It's simple and easy! We have several registration tiers to accommodate every budget. However, we do ask that you please consider pledging $75 or more (remember, we have a big goal!). For our super donors, there is a registration tier of $135, which comes with swag – just for you.
We are choosing to honor Paul with a Father's Day kickoff this year. So, mark your calendar for Sunday, June 16, 2024. Don't worry if you can't begin on the holiday; similar to years past, we are challenging you to get moving for a minimum of 30 minutes at least 3 times each week. However you choose to move, you'll be supported by the PNR ALSF Move-A-Thon community with fitness tips and resources, and a healthy dose of fun. We will even host free trainer workouts on Sunday, June 30th (via Zoom) and again on July 14th (hybrid workout) as part of our Unity Day celebration to close out the month.
Prepare for a little friendly competition. This year, you'll be assigned to a team (Team Maize or Team Blue). We will be tracking your team's energy, enthusiasm, and recorded workouts. There will be surprises and delights for both teams and individuals throughout the month. To the winner go the spoils... or at least some friendly bragging rights.
Get excited for Unity Day, where we will close the Move-A-Thon on July 14, 2024 with a live workout for those who can join us in Chicago. We will of course also make the workout available virtually for everyone, no matter their location. More details to come!

Straight Outta the 90’s: Paul’s Virtual House Party!
Ready to party for a purpose?
Cuz this is how WE do it!
Last year, the Paul Nelson Randolph Abundant Life Scholarship Foundation (PNRALSF) took it back to the 70’s and 80’s for a fun-filled music trivia night for our first fundraiser. This year, we invite you to join us as we travel back in time to the 90’s for the ultimate virtual house party as we raise money for deserving students through our ‘22-’23 scholarship cycle!
So, what’s the 4-1-1?
No house party is complete without a DJ spinning your favorite tunes, a mixologist shaking up your favorite cocktails (or mocktails), a chef plating up delicious food, and an unforgettable host. We’ve got all four! Faith-based fashion blogger, Totally Tot, will be our hostess with the mostest; we’ll learn about the art of the perfect party libation with cocktail/mocktail curator, Adrienne Tucker; and Top Chef and Chopped 2013 Winner, Chef Katsuji Tanabe, will guide us through a craveable cooking demo (with a healthy dish of course)! All set against a backdrop of your favorite 90s beats provided by DJ Calid B.
It’s all going down the evening of Thursday, December 8, 2022 @ 8:00pm EST/7:00 pm CST.

Your $65 ticket gets you VIP access to the virtual house party—the drink demo, cooking demo, shopping/ingredients list for both, a slammin’ playlist and all of the 90’s vibes (come dressed fly and fresh!).

Mission (Purpose)
The Paul Nelson Randolph Abundant Life Scholarship Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2020. The Foundation seeks to encourage and support underrepresented student groups through college and/or trade/vocational school. The Foundation also aims to create a culture of racial equity, by providing these students with financial resources to gain access to a postsecondary education.

Get your groove on at the inaugural Paul Nelson Randolph Abundant Life Scholarship Foundation (PNR ALSF) Fundraiser, honoring the life and legacy of Paul N. Randolph.
While COVID may limit our ability to gather face-to-face, nothing is stopping us from coming together virtually to have some fun, enjoy some good music, and raise money for a good cause! Paul loved music, so we want to honor his legacy with a Music Trivia Night, featuring music from the 70’s and 80’s. Gather your best music trivia buffs, form teams of 1-4 players, and get ready! A certified gamemaster will spin some serious tunes and bring out your competitive side, as you flex your music knowledge muscles. For those of you who think you have moves, get ready to strut down the Soul Train line or come dressed to impress in your best 70’s/80’s outfit. Most importantly, get ready to have fun for a GREAT cause-- helping more underrepresented students realize their postsecondary educational or vocational dreams.
