Though I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Paul for many years, I grew to know and respect him as a loving, kind, and supportive husband and father. When Paul and I met, I felt like I already knew him based on stories Van shared about her family. Paul and I instantly connected as he talked about his love for University of Michigan football (even though I had to defend myself for loving my team and school - Alabama - more)! Through those brief conversations, I could tell Paul had a giving heart and that he loved his family dearly, which meant a lot. I am blessed and grateful to not only have known Paul, but to also be able to call Van a friend. Being asked to join the PNR ALSF is an honor. Having lost a loved one, I understand honoring Paul's memory of giving. The blessings from this Foundation and his family showcase how giving a little can make a difference and go a long way.

My dad was truly the personification of a best friend. He always had my back, introduced me to new ideas and ways of thinking, annoyed and challenged me, lifted me up when I was feeling down and encouraged me to relentlessly strive for the best! He truly taught me that, even through our shortcomings, love for one another is the most important and true human endeavor.
